Cinco De Mayo

Well, belated Cinco de Mayo...

I have been working nonstop since we returned from Savannah but that didn't stop us from having our own Mexican fiesta! We put mini sombreros on the dogs which maybe lasted 4 seconds. Adam saved the day by decorating the entire house (I wish I got pictures!) and making delicious food: carnitas for burritos, ceviche and of course I made guacamole to eat with our chips and salsa. Other friends brought over themed food and, naturally, we had margaritas (with REAL Mexican tequila thanks to Adam and the Mexican Navy) and a selection of Mexican beers. We played games and enjoyed the company of everyone and just relaxed. Of course, most of us had to work that Monday so everyone, myself included, was super exhausted the next day.

I was off yesterday for the first time in a week and it was beyond lovely! I did practically nothing and ran errands at my leisure. It's weird how ERRAND RUNNING can become relief from work stress but I'll take it! I'm also off today and I made plans to go to a home inspection with some friends. Wish them luck!! They almost own their first home!!!

It wouldn't be a blog without a picture so please check out my beautiful, authentic Mexican Cinco de Mayo make up and hair:
