PBJ - Two in one

I worked yesterday so once I got home, Adam and I camped in front of the tv to watch our recorded Gator game from earlier that day. I was distracted by our epic win (Suck it, UT!) and forgot to post about my Pumpkin Beer Journey. So today, you get TWO. (Try to contain your excitement.)

Shiner's Marzen-Style Oktoberfest was my next delicious, malty option. Technically it was a seasonal brew since there was no pumpkin flavor involved but it had a festive colored label and I'm a sucker for visual stimulus. We're huge fans of Shiner in this home so I'm glad this house lived up to the hype.

This evening I tried  SouthamptonPublick House's Pumpkin Ale. THIS is what I expect of a classic pumpkin beer! You taste the pumpkin. You taste the spice. You even get a little hint of vanilla. While this amber ale is only 5% alc/vol, I was pleasantly surprised! Thanks, Long Island for today's tasty treat!

(And thank you, Adam, for the gorgeous "just because" flowers in the background. After a long week, it's nice to come home to a little color an a lot of love!)
