2011 To Do List

I am ready to start back to work! I really don't understand how these stay-at-home moms do it. Cleaning all day would infuriate me. Besides, as much as I adore my pups, they lack conversational depth and the overall ability to keep me entertained. I'm BORED, and not scheduled back at the Bird until Thursday night. I guess there's no reason for my house to look like THIS by the end of the week since I have nothing but stay-at-home time...by myself. (Adam has a REAL, adult job that requires his presence daily.)

As it is, I am enjoying the peace of 2011. Recently I started thinking about resolutions...because what would January be if not for planned promises of eventual failure? HEY NOW...I'm not being negative, I'm being truthful! How many resolutions have YOU ever kept? Exactly! People, myself included, rarely uphold resolutions because they end up forgetting or cheating or just altogether giving up. This is why I'm trying something different this year. Instead of one or two resolutions, I'm going to make a 2011 To Do List. This will either encourage me to accomplish more than ever OR it will allow me room to stumble and cling desperately to one of many items once I realize (far too late) that November is just around the corner.

In no particular order, here goes:

2011 To Do List:

1. Enroll in school in Virginia and FINALLY finish my AA. (I've been 10 credit hours shy for a year.)
2. Buy a house (FYI: Adam will be mixed into this list, too. Obviously, I cannot purchase a home on my own.)
3. Eventually have a REAL wedding/reception. (This one probably won't happen because our money has other priorities right now but as long as it's on my List, it wont be forgotten!)
4. BE healthier. Not just with eating: get over my fear of doctors. Take care of myself.
5. Make our current house a beautiful oasis for relaxation, entertainment, and focus.
6. Get a bike and ride it. All. The. Time.
7. TATTOO! I don't know where...or of what...but I'm hoping I won't be pressured out of this.
8. Pay off as much debt as possible. Goodbye credit cards! Put a dent in my student loans.
9. Be grateful. Focus more on what I DO have as opposed to what I don't.
10. Go on more NROs with RR.
11. Celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary in STYLE!
12. Go out with the little bro for his 21st birthday. It's ok, mom. He'll be safe.
13. Attend Fl-Ga for the 3rd year in a row.
14. Vacation somewhere WONDERFUL.
15. More piercings. I'll settle for a redo of my cartilage but I really miss my nose bling.
16. Help mend relationships that are necessary to my happiness and well being.
17. Make time to read more and critique said books.
18. Take a cooking class...or a photography class. I can't make up my mind.
19. Convince family to visit Norfolk.
20. Make more money!
21. Find a home church and make it a point to go.
22. Take more photographic evidence of the life Adam and I have created for ourselves.
23. Start singing again. I miss it terribly.
24. Go to more live shows/performances.

Okay, so that's all for now but I reserve the right to add/tweak my List at any given time. I'd love to hear about YOUR resolutions. Maybe we can hold each other accountable!

Happy New Years.
